II.1.4) Short description

This project relates to three aims of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage: to encourage people-centered approaches to heritage, make heritage accessible to all, and raise awareness of Europe’s heritage among hard-to-reach groups. The project seeks to engage groups of older and younger Europeans (aged 55+, and 13-30), who are hard to reach and do not already participate in cultural heritage activities — such as those living in isolation or poverty, not engaged in education, learning or employment. It aims to encourage individuals to share their own cultural heritage, raise awareness of links between personal, local and European heritage, and reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space. Tasks required include:
Planning and delivering pop-up exhibitions in 7 to 10 EU Member States plus Brussels; designing, producing and distributing a set of resources for each pop-up exhibition; communicating project activities and results, including through a workshop in Brussels.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

The WeAre#EuropeForCulture procurement, which is a citizen engagement project in the context of the European Year for Cultural Heritage, comprises 3 main aspects:
Firstly, the planning and delivery of pop-up exhibitions in 7 to 10 EU Member States plus Brussels, aiming to reach at least 200 younger and older people in each Member State selected, and at least 2000 people in total, in collaboration with local partners. The concept of the pop-up exhibitions is that target groups (of harder-to-reach older and younger people) are encouraged and facilitated to bring or choose heritage content to display, for at least 1 day, but preferably longer. The target groups may be the sole audience for the exhibition; or once the heritage content has been curated and securely displayed the exhibition may also be opened to external audience(s). Heritage content on display may be tangible or intangible, movable or immovable. Each exhibition should include at least some examples of personal heritage, local or regional heritage, and heritage of European significance.
Secondly, the design, production and distribution of a set of resources for each pop-up exhibition, including display boards, flyers, labels, evaluation questionnaires for participants, observation sheets for facilitators.
Thirdly, the dissemination and communication of project activities and results, through existing websites and social media channels (including for EYCH, Europa and Creative Europe), a project report and summary, and a stakeholder workshop in Brussels.
